There is no issue or secret struggle so bad that God cannot help with, so whatever secret struggles or demons you have, you can come to Christ and he will bring healing to your life.So I think that these are the take away points: In the Book of James we are instructed to confess our faults one to another that we may be healed.

He also teaches his followers to love one another. In the Gospels (the account of Jesus’ life) we see Christ being compassionate to others and healing them from diseases and on many occasions he casts out the demons (real spiritual beings that possess and harass people). Jesus Christ in the scriptures made this statement, Come to me all you who are burdened and heavy laden and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). My take on the Christian Perspective on the issue: This line “Don’t get too close, it’s dark inside, it’s where my demons hide” it seems to be saying, ‘Don’t get too close to me before you discover my demons, and that can just mess up our relationship and this facade of me being normal and happy and not going through anything’.He could possibly suffering from PTSD or even just plagued by his past experiences in war He also has a black eye that indicates he suffers from domestic abuse. The final character is a soldier who flashes back to scenes of him carrying a wounded, possibly dead comrade and there’s tears running down his face at some point. The other person shown is a young man who is just chilling playing video games and doing young person stuff but a guy, probably his dad comes in drunk and is violent towards him. The next person is a guy he is looking at his body in the mirror which is quite skinny and the expression on his face is one of indifference but with underlying self hatred and dissatisfaction with his weight. The video shows a woman that is apparently either just experienced or is thinking about the death of a loved one and is sad and possibly even depressed about it.yet they are dealing with secret struggles. It seems to show normal people in a normal setting, a concert, seemingly unassuming and just….normal…. I honestly thought the actual lyrics were a bit cryptic and not easily understandable butttt from the video, I see a general story. It seems to me that the Demons mentioned in the song refer to the secret battles people desperately struggle with and the feelings of hopelessness and helplessness of fighting these demons alone and in secret. My Interpretation of the main point of the song: Seems to have a mellow or sad yet hopeful but yet hopeless undertone.Song: Demons by Imagine Dragons, released 2012 If you got something different, I would love to hear your take on it in the comments section. I realize that it’s quite possible I may have misinterpreted the song or missed out some key part of the song, as well as I may be a bit off in what the Christian perspective on it would be, but this is at the end of the day simply from my perspective. What I am attempting to do in this blog post is to state my interpretation of a song I heard, specifically the main point of it, give reasons why I interpreted it that way and provide what I think would be the Christian response/perspective on the issue the song deals with.
